Computer Engineering and Meteorology?
I grew up interested in meteorology and I study it as a hobby however no universities in my state (virginia) offer any meteorology program when I was a Senior in HS and looking. So I got into my second favorite passion (computers) and I am now a junior studying Computer/Electrical Engineering I may double major as an electrical engineer but I'm not sure yet. I was wondering if there are any jobs that Computer Engineers do that help or are related to meteorology? I searched google really quick but couldn't really find anything.

- There really isnt anything. About the only thing I could possibly think of is developing software for storm tracking of a doppler radar. Unless you take radar classes, you wont be able to design the actual radars, but you could take the information and develop the needed algorithms to help report the weather. I know in Iowa, it would be great to have a better way predict floods and tornados, but, that is the other thing because then the weather would be causal, and that would be a pain in its own.
