Preparing for meteorology classes?
What is dynamics and synoptics like and what does it have to do with meteorology? Sources? What are some jobs that meteorologists do? What do they do behind a computer?

- Synoptic meteorology is the study of synoptic scale (large scale) weather systems. There is also a forecasting approach to it. Dynamic meteorology is a physical approach to meteorology. Basically, you will be using plenty of physics and math to know more about the atmosphere. I have not taken any dynamic meteorology classes, but I do know what is coming my way. Meteorologists do a lot of things. What they do depends on what career they get into, who or what they work for, and what their job description is. A forecaster spends a lot of time creating and analyzing weather maps, radar and satellite images, and of course forecasting weather. At the computer, they examine a lot of maps, radar images, satellite images, and forecast models. A lot of their forecasts are made on the computer.
