Career In Meteorology

Trying to find a college with a good meteorology program for undergrads.?

My son has decided he wants a degree in meteorology. Not too sure how he would use it but since he's a high school junior, I would like to help him research schools to apply to that offer this program. What are some good schools for a meteorology degree?

1. I would go with Brown. It's a college where you can get a degree in basically anything. It's pretty hard to get into but is one of the best colleges. http://www.brown.edu/
2. Meteorology is very specific, and he might actually be better off doing a geology degree where he takes most of his advanced electives in meteorology or climatology. Very few schools, I think, offer an actual meteorology degree at the undergraduate level.
3. The University of Utah - it has an undergradudate program (B.S.) and a graduate program (M.S., Ph.D.) in Meteorology.
