Career In Meteorology

How is the University of Hawaii for meteorology?

I plan to major in meteorology and right now Oklahoma, and the University of Miami are main primary choices but I would like to add a few more choices, and I see the University of Hawaii has a met. program, and I would like to know is it any good? And is the University of Hawaii (at Manoa) generally known as a good school.

  1. What weather resources are near that school in Hawaii? In Oklahoma, you have the National Weather Service which does extensive research into thunderstorms and tornadoes. In Miami, you have the National Hurricane Center (which is actually located on the campus of FIU) which does extensive research into tropical weather and hurricanes. What does the university in Hawaii offer for research? Also look at Texas A&M, University of Ohio, Penn State, University of Wisconsin...
