Career In Meteorology

What sort of job options are open to someone studying Meteorology?

Im thinking of taking a meteorology at university and wondered where i could find prospective jobs, i really dont care where in the world but i would rather work for a private company instead of a government run one ( unless the pay was good )

  1. Obviously you can become a meteorologist for a local TV news station, I think that only requires a B.S. in Meteorology, but you need to get a broadcating internship as well. You can also work as a Meteorology proffessor at a university which requires a Ph.D or you can become a private research meteorologist or climatologist. They get paid well but they're mostly government jobs.
