Career In Meteorology

Air Force or Navy? Which one?(Please read details)?

I am planning on joining the military through an ROTC program, I would like to go to N Carolina St., and have learned it has ROTC programs for the AF and Navy, I would like a career in one that works with science or math because I enjoy both, I have seen careers such as meteorology or nuclear power that look very interesting. I would like your opinion on which branch is better suited for me, And Why? Thank You

  1. Navy. Air Force is the wimpiest of the branches. Just my opinion.
  2. nuke power = Navy...they practically invented it
  3. Both have great opportunities; but Air Force is the easiest boot camp, Navy is next in line.
  4. NAVY
  5. Both have a lot of good careers. USAF tends to be more technological and will go into the next generation of robotics, aviation, space, etc. What you really should ask yourself is whether you want to work on a ship or an airforce base. Some people love ships and traveling all over the world, while some prefer land and get claustraphobic on a ship or sea sick. USAF deals a lot with meterology.
  6. Ok for the record air force isnt the wimpiest thats realy imature. next if you want to go into tech and mechanics then the air force is best for you but if you like the ocean and boats then go navy. I choose the air force because i love working with planes and thats my passion. If you want science and math then you can try to be a pilot for the air force cuz thats what your going to realy need to fly a plane. Good Luck
  7. Apply to both, and see if either will accept you. If you set your heart on one and then they turn you down it'll be too late to try for the other.
  8. Air Force. They're the funnest. You can even work with NASA Jet propulsion units! Satellites, planes, radar, jets, and drones. The AF has a strong focus on science and as far as academics go, it's much easier than the Navy, which is like the best of the best. Physically, Intellectually, and throw in something else for a series. Go AF, be a grease monkey and work on a jet or helicopter. But if you want to do fun stuff with math and science, join once you have your BA.
  9. Air Force. You don't want to be stuck on a ship. Seriously.
