I plan to go to BYU for two years, then transfer to the Univ. of Utah for Meteorology, but do should I major?
I'm LDS and I'm going to BYU for those purposes, also due to the fact that it's cheaper than going to the University of Utah for 4 years paying out of state tuition. I plan on majoring in meteorology at Utah, but I'm not sure what I could major in at my first two years at BYU. Think of it like I'm going to community college, would I just take my required classes for a Meteorology degree at BYU? I'm confused. Mary, please re-read my question. I'm not going to a community college, it was merely a reference.

- I used to be LDS. I don't like BYU :[ I work there in the performing arts department sometimes. But do what interests you. Don't do something you'll regret doing. There are lots of options.
- YOU do not major at a 2 year community college unless you get an AA degree...people get confuse this 2 years are the sme years you would do at University of UTAH you will transfer to the 3rd year(as JUNIOR) so its be all GENERAL ED COURSES< and maybe some pre reqs for your major which UTah will require. see IGETC. and please talk to a counselor at the community college!
