Where can I read more about my college majors and requirements for the degree?

I'm planning on earning a Masters degree in meteorology and just in case I don't make it as a meteorologist, I'll earn a teaching degree for Earth/Space science. Where can I read information that will tell me a brief description of what I'll be doing in college and out in the work field? Sources?
