How many years of college is a Bachelors degree in meteorology?
how about a masters? How many credits are you supposed to earn in a year? Is it 7 like in high school or more? How much more? What are the chances of me becoming an intern for meteorology? I'm a junior in high school with a 2.5 GPA. *If you only know one of the answers please answer anyway.

- Assuming you take full course loads, a Bachelor's in ANYTHING is approximately 4 years (8 semesters or 12 quarters depending on your school year structure). Adding a Master's onto your Bachelor's is about another 2 years. And as for your chances for an internship, it depends on several factors: what school you plan on going to, what your GPA is in your Meteorology major, how competitive those internships are in your area. I would suggest researching which schools have that program and talking to professors/advisors from that specific department. I would also suggest doing whatever you can to get your GPA up. You always stand a better shot of getting in AND getting an internship if your grades are superior to the other applicants you are up against.
- For any Bachelor's degree, it will, on average, take 4 years to complete; less if you take summer courses and more if you take less than full credit per semester. In a typical year, you're "supposed" to earn roughly 30-35 credits, depending on the program you're majoring in. To become an intern for any field, the businesses/companies require at least 2 years of completed studies in the field you wish to intern. You need to get your GPA higher than 2.5 to get admitted and stay in university. Although 2.0 GPA is the minimum entrance for most universities, they faculties will require a much higher GPA, so start studying and getting those better marks. 3.0+ range will serve you decently, and make sure you keep that GPA in university, which is a lot harder than high school. Good luck!!
