Is it possible to earn 2 degrees in college at the same time?
I'm planning on earning a Masters degree in meteorology and a teaching degree in earth/space science just in case I don't make it as a meteorologist. Is it possible? How long would it take? Would some classes count towards both the meteorology degree and teaching degree? Sources?

- When I majored in education, they forced us to double major...I didn't earn two degrees, but my one degree has both of my majors on it. I took a couple of summer and winter session classes but didn't graduate any earlier (I just was able to take it easy on myself senior year by having a lighter course load). I'm sure you'd be able to work something out with your college advisor. Good luck!!
- Yes you can. However, it is pretty hard and time consuming. It takes most people 5 years or more to complete it full time. However, with your situation, you should be able major in meteorology and then why don't you take classes that are required for a earth/space science teaching degree which shouldn't be much different that those from meteorology and forget about any minors. Most majors require about 10-15 classes and a senior thesis in that area. Taking 4 classes each semester (about 16 sem hours), you should be done with it in 2 years and have the rest of the years to complete your req. classes (cores) and classes you need for a teaching degree.
- You should probably talk to the head department of your specific college. And maybe you should give this more thought.. Wouldn't all the prices double? You would be paying for twice as many books and things like that. Also, i haven't been to college but I know some people who have and they are pretty busy. It seems that you must do a lot of studying. Are you willing to do that times two?
