What degree(s) would be good to get into Air Force flight training.?
I'm looking into college right now, and want to go into undergraduate pilot training at the Air Force. The major I'm looking at is aviation technology, with a minor in meteorology, but are there any degrees that the Air Force prefers when training pilots? I also plan on going into ROTC. Thanks in advance.

- You are right on track.
- Not even close. When I was instructing, I could not have been one of my own students with a Biology degree. Hard science: Physics, Math, Computers, EE, things like that. Lowest GPA in the class was 3.9, most of them had advanced degrees. It's gotten a little better, mostly because the USAF figured out that a Master's in EE with a 4.0 doesn't make you a fighter pilot; but not much. ROTC will definitely help, and the recommendations you get there will be priceless and possibly even have more to do with your pilot slot than your GPA. Good luck.
- I'm currently studying aviation technology, and supposing the degree structure is similar, than it is exactly the type of degree the air force would find appealing on a resume, and also more importantly, it will help you understand the workings of some of the vital aspects of aviation and flying.
- Visit a college that has AFROTC, find the AFROTC offices, and ask there.
